TJ Martin, Camera TJ is a filmmaker from Seattle, Washington. He has been studying and producing films since he was eighteen years old. In 1999, T.J. and a partner launched Global Griot Productions ? an independent film and video production company committed to promote social and cultural awareness. In 2002, Global Griot productions received national recognition when their feature length documentary A Day in the Hype of America won the award for Best Documentary at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. T.J.?s films have also been screened at the Seattle International Film Festival?s Fly Filmmaking Challenge. TJ has filmed and produced videos for a number of diverse organizations including Paul Allen?s Experience Music Project Museum, NBC?s Stir TV, and the Rise and Shine organization. In 2003, T.J. collaborated with El Centro de la Raza, accompanying a delegation of Seattle educators to attended Jose Marti?s International Conference for World Equilibrium in Havana, Cuba. TJ was the only United States media invited. |
